CHILDREN

At The United Churches, we value and celebrate the lives of children in our congregation. Jesus was clear when he said, "Let the children come to me!" We strive to provide platforms where children can learn and wonder about God and who they are as unique and special creations of God. We provide trained childcare workers, faith formation teachers and mentors. All staff and volunteers, who interact with children, undergo background checks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for your child.

Faith Formation for Children

During the 10:30am service, Faith Formation for children meets every Sunday after the passing of the peace for “Time on the Quilt” (our children’s message) in the Sanctuary, followed by lessons and activities in the childcare room.

4th Sunday Family Fun Day

Starting March 2025, on the 4th Sunday of each month, we’ll extend Faith Formation time for a special Family Day. Kids can enjoy games like hide-and-seek or sardines around the church. Families are invited to bring a sack lunch or potluck dish to share so we can eat together after worship before moving into more fun activities.

If your family arrives 5 minutes early to the 10:30am service, children are invited to help ring the church bell before worship begins.

Quarterly Field Trips

Our children’s ministry also includes fellowship field trips once each quarter, with fun activities outside the church like skating, trampoline parks and more.

For more information about any of these activities, contact our Children & Youth Program Coordinator, Rev. Mey.
